Con ocasión de la labor de Veeduría que adelantó la Personería de Bogotá, en la cual se detectaron problemas delicados que afectan gravemente al usuario del sistema de salud que acude a los servicios de urgencias de los hospitales de la Red Pública Distrital, la Personería Delegada para la Vigilancia Administrativa I, Disciplinarios I, inició sendas indagaciones preliminares en contra del Secretario de Salud Distrital y de los gerentes de los hospitales de Meissen II, Tunal III, Bosa II, Kennedy III, Simón Bolívar III, Engativá II, Suba II y Usaquén I.
Los servidores públicos deberán explicar ya en sede de las indagaciones disciplinarias, las razones por las cuales el servicio de atención en urgencias evidencia una situación integral realmente deplorable.
Labor de veeduría
La Personería de Bogotá, desde la noche del pasado jueves, inició un seguimiento a la atención en los hospitales de los niveles I, II y III, para verificar la calidad de la prestación del servicio de urgencias en la red del Distrito. Durante las visitas pudo establecer graves deficiencias en los tiempos de atención a pacientes, deterioro y desaseo en las instalaciones, insuficiencia en el número de camas y camillas, trabas en la prestación del servicio de ambulancias, hacinamiento y falta de personal, entre otras.
Las visitas practicadas a los hospitales de Meissen, Bosa, Tunal, Kennedy, Engativá y Simón Bolívar,Suba y Usaquén . evidencian el déficit que atraviesan estos centros de atención en la ciudad, lo cual atenta contra el derecho a la dignidad y la salud y, por ende, el derecho a la vida de los pacientes.
